[Review] Kis-My-Ft2; Everybody Go, Single
A week late and 316,000 copies late, I’m still determined on doing a review for ‘Everybody Go’ singles. I did a pimp post (or an info post) about the links and the editions of the singles in earlier, so I’ll skip that and go straight to the review itself. I can’t remember if I had commented on the video itself, but I’ll just do it again anyways.
Let me start off with the regular edition and work my way up from there. The regular edition came only with the CDA which is the audio CD and an extra song called Wakamonotachi. Well I like the song, but it does not stuck in my head the way Inori did (none of the songs did in this single in fact), but while listening to it, it has a good beat and it’d be a good dance or workout song. It sort of give you energy in a way.
The two limited editions basically come with a CDA and an accompanying DVD. Limited edition A came with the PV and offshoots of the PV or the making of the PV, but 10 minutes of the making is barely anything for some who have watch making of for other idols (especially KAT-TUN) but seeing Nikaido and Senga fell flat on their faces or on their arses are definitely fun to watch.
For limited edition B, there were clips for the song Fire Beat and Kis-My-Calling as well of a clip for when their debut were announced. What can I say about the clips, there were people falling out of pitch, and stumbling on rollerblades as well as awesome head rotations and the tears of joy is definitely fun to see.
Personally though I still think that Fire Beat would have made a better debut song but those A&R people should know better and Everybody Go was chosen for a reason. I was hoping for Inori or Fire Beat or even Kis-My-Calling to be one of the songs on the debut CD but it’s not even on any of the editions. By the way there are also 7 other editions that has each member’s face as the cover and a note from them as well as a mock brown envelope. I can’t say much about that since I do not own those editions.
All I can say is that this debut single is a little disappointing for me, but somehow the clips and the fails of Kisumai made up for the loss of other parts of the single. This single is g a fair 4 out of 5 (4/5) from me.
